The lateral organ boundaries domain (LBD) gene refers to a gene family with a special domain of lateral organ boundaries (LOB), also known as the asymmetric leaves2-like (ASL) gene family. Until now, LBD genes were found only in plant databases, indicating that this unique gene family may only regulate plant-specific processes. In this study, we identified 129 LBD genes, including JTY(42), LWM(43) and F106(44), all genes were divided into 7 subfamilies.
